The Smithfield Difference

Most businesses start with a set of core values and a mission.
Our mission was simple; to become the best independent agency in town.

Getting there took diligence, passion, focus and rigour – coupled with an in-depth understanding of each of our clients’ businesses.

Employing extremely smart people helped, from as diverse a pool as possible, all prepared to think strategically and with a passion for discovery.

We were determined to retain our intimate feel, so we’ve grown to a size that suits. Our clients know each one of us personally.

Seeing as everything has gone to plan so far, these must be our values: a tight focus on planned performance, an entrepreneurial ethos and a commitment to strong client relationships that mature over time.

And since over 95% of our business comes through referral, we’re sticking to them.

Our Global Reach

As part of the world’s largest independent network, we have eyes everywhere.

While our London base retains the boutique feel valued by long-term clients from start-ups to multinationals, Smithfield is also part of the world’s largest network of independent agencies – so scale is no issue.

With 1200 accredited partners covering 116 countries, we have reliable access to the right people in each market.
Our international service covers creative, media, PR, media planning, media buying and all forms of digital communications.

A human-first ethos

Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence may be evolving fast, but success is still driven by the humans at the controls.

We’re a team of enthusiastic people, trained in the art and science of media planning and buying. Everyone here has a broad skill base and a grasp of every element that goes to make up a successful campaign. A rigorous policy of continuous improvement, delivered via ongoing training and CPD both in-house and with external industry bodies, means our staff turnover is unusually low.

Our agency culture celebrates diversity and actively champions inclusivity. We value contributions from people with all levels of experience, and actively welcome the perspectives of neurodiverse team members. Our culture empowers all our people to grow and develop through agency membership of IAB, IPA and DMA.

Our staff make us who we are, so we’ve created a culture that motivates our people to be the best they can be.
